As we operate in remote areas and on a cattle station (mmm, beef!) with limited access to fresh produce or the wide range of foods people are used to in the cities, we do not offer vegan meal choices. We also urge guests to pause their lifestyle diets as it’s likely we cannot meet your requirements.
We do not accept bookings from guests with anaphylactic food allergies because we cannot guarantee there will be no cross contamination in the kitchen.
We can accept bookings from people who are vegetarian, Coeliac and genuine GF. Welcome!
What are the Kimberley accommodation options?
Well it depends where your trip is taking you! Some Kimberley itineraries are based on a cattle station (Digger's Rest) and some are based in an Aboriginal community. Please read the accommodation options for your preferred trip.

WIFI and phone signal at Kimberley venues
Currently there's no WIFI at the station, though we are working on it and hope to be able to offer guest access in 2025. Phone signal is basically terrible. There is a landline at the station - give the number to your family or friends for contacting you in an emergency.
Is the Kimberley water safe to drink?
Absolutely – it’s delicious rainwater. Please do bring a refillable drinking water bottle, but not bulk bottled water from the supermarket – there’s no recycling and all that plastic/glass creates headaches on a remote station!
Can you wash clothes during the Kimberley trip?
There are washing machines at the station for $5 or $6 per load (cash).
Are there crocodiles in the Kimberley?
All bodies of water in the Kimberley should be considered potential habitat for both saltwater and freshwater crocodiles and treated with extreme caution. Do not walk along or stand on riverbanks.
Can you extend your Kimberley stay?
You can extend your stay if there is accommodation available. Speak with Alida at Digger’s Rest on (08) 9161 1029. Please stay on AFTER the workshop rather than arrive early.
