Getting to The Kimberley
The Kimberley is in Western Australia and you'll see why it's considered the final frontier in Australia. We base ourselves on a cattle station 40kms from Wyndham (130kms from Kununurra) in far north east WA.

IF YOU ARE FLYING
Kununurra is in Western Australia. On Day 1 of your trip, we will pick you up from the location we have pre-arranged with you (usually Kununurra airport or a Kununurra hotel). On the final day of the itinerary we'll drop you back at your pre-arranged location.
TRAVEL SUGGESTIONS - book flights at least 6 months out to avoid disappointment.
Some capital cities offer limited direct flights to Kununurra.
If you can't get a direct flight, the major airlines fly to Darwin (or Broome) and you can get a connecting flight to Kununurra from there..
Airlines providing flights to Kununurra from Darwin and Broome are Airnorth and Nexus.
Transfers outside trip dates
You are welcome to stay on at Digger's Rest Station for a few days after your On The Verandah itinerary. Digger's Rest provides transfers to and from Kununurra for about $200pp each way.

We'll arrange to meet you on Day 1 of your On The Verandah itinerary in either Kununurra or Wyndham and you can follow us in to the station. Your vehicle must be a four wheel drive vehicle and have two spare tyres.
If you have a two wheel drive vehicle you can leave it parked securely in Kununurra and we will transport you for the week.
