A Kimberley horse riding adventure for people who love to ride -
Things to see and do in the area
If you plan to ride.
If you want to ride during your stay you do need to be able to ride as there are no riding lessons available. If it has been a while, we recommend that you have some refresher lessons before you come - it will make your experience better!
Digger's Rest horses are excellent, sure footed, well cared for and also used for mustering. All rides will be led by Digger's Rest Station staff whose requests are to be followed at all times. We require you to wear a HELMET. If you don't want to bring one, we have a good selection at the station.
A weight limit of 90kgs applies to all riders (unless you can demonstrate excellent riding skills and balanced seat.)
Maximum group size is 10.
The 3 types of accommodation are the Bush Hut, the Bunkhouse room and the tent.
Bush Hut - Bush Huts have a double bed, verandah, mosquito net, ensuite, fan, powerpoint, light, towels and linen. Perks of a bush hut - peaceful, views, wildlife, authentic Kimberley experience.
Bunkhouse room - The two bunkhouse rooms are usually shared by two guests each. Each bunkhouse room has a double bed plus one or two single beds, air conditioning, overhead fans, towels, linen. The bunkhouse has a shared bathroom. Perks of the bunkhouse - spacious, air conditioned, large verandahs, close to the homestead.
Tent - we have a discounted option of a comfy tent for guests who don't mind roughing it a little and do not want to share. (Usually only offered when all unshared accommodation is taken.)
